Course Name: Physician Fellowship in CMR
Description: This course is designed for cardiologists, radiologists, or other physicians, wishing to obtain in-depth knowledge of and experience in the principles of cardiac MRI, its practical implementation in a clinical environment, and reading and interpretation of Cardiovascular MR images. This course is offered as an extended fellowship — typically 3 months. The number of participants is limited. Practical experience is acquired by participating in all CMR scans on
our Philips Achieva 1.5T and 3T scanners , Release 2 with the full cardiovascular package, plus some research and pre-release capabilities. While much didactic experience is gained through miscellaneous lectures, the fellowship is offered in conjunction with a Biomedical Engineering
course through Washington University ("Cardiovascular MRI — From Physics to Clinical Application" 502 BME).

Class Description: We offer an observational fellowship with some hands-on experience at a clinical site at the Fuqua Heart Center of Atlanta. Duration of training is typically 1 month, but it can be customized. 3-month experience to gain level 2 competency in CMR is available.
We have a didactic course of 10 lectures in the broad field of CMR.
The typical daily volume is 4-5 CMR's per day.
We have a mix of clinical cases as well as investigational research cases.
Some hands-on experience is available.
