Course Description: NYU School of Medicine, Department of Radiology and Division of Cardiology, is sponsoring a one-year fellowship to prepare participants for subspecialty practice or academic careers in advanced cardiovascular imaging techniques, with emphasis on CT and MR. The curriculum is designed to allow participants to learn the indications for, the techniques of, and the practical application and interpretation of state-of-the-art cardiovascular CT and MR. Participants will spend the bulk of the year in cardiovascular CT and MR laboratories with rotations through the chest CT, body CT, body MR, echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, and nuclear cardiology stress laboratory services to complement the trainee's experience in cardiovascular MR and CT.

Applicants must have graduated from an ACGME accredited training program in Radiology or Adult Cardiovascular Disease and be board certified or board eligible in that subspecialty. Cleveland Clinic

Course Description: The Cardiovascular Imaging Laboratory in the Division of Radiology at Cleveland Clinic is offering a one to two year fellowship in CV imaging beginning July 1, 2007. There will be another fellowship class beginning July 1, 2008.

Fellows will work on a dedicated CV imaging service offering Cardiovascular MRI and CT, and will participate in both clinical and research activities. Over 2000 CV-MRI and 9,000 CV-CT studies are performed each year with clinical and research applications. The Cardiovascular Imaging Laboratory houses two MRI scanners (a 1.5T Siemens Avanto and a 3.0T Philips Achieva) and two CT scanners (a Philips Brilliance 64-slice and a Siemens Definition dual-source). CV-MRI studies performed include LV and RV cardiomyopathies and masses, LV myocardial viability and pharmacologic stress perfusion imaging, coronary MRA, thoracic and abdominal aortic disease, and peripheral vascular MRA. CV-CT studies performed include evaluation of coronary artery anatomy, pulmonary venous anatomy, cardiac morphology and function, and thoraco-abdominal aortic disease.

Course Description: The advanced cardiovascular imaging program at Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) in Atlanta, GA is pleased to announce a fully funded, advanced cardiovascular imaging fellowship geared toward Level III certification in cardiovascular MR and CT.

This program at PHI is an academically-oriented, well-funded, high volume cardiovascular imaging program; performing approximately 950 CMR's and 1200 cardiovascular CT's annually. This opportunity is designed for candidates who have completed their clinical cardiovascular fellowship training and are seeking an additional year of advanced clinical imaging training.

Course Description: Imperial College London, in collaboration with the Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility, the GSK Clinical Imaging Centre on the Hammersmith campus and Imperial College NHS Trust, has launched an innovative Master of Research (MRes) programme in Translational Medicine. The course capitalises on the availability of leading experts in experimental medicine and an outstanding clinical research infrastructure.

The course is full-time for one year and composed of a 3-month lecture course followed by 9 months of hands-on research experience in various fields, incorporating methodologies in Experimental Medicine, biomarkers, imaging, statistics and research governance. The programme is designed to accommodate subspecialty interests, such as Cardiovascular/Respiratory, Neuropsychiatry, Oncology/Metabolic Medicine. It is aimed primarily at medical fellows-in-training and junior doctors, although life-scientists with a background/interest in physiology will also be considered.

Course Description: 1-year Clinical Fellowship in Cardiovascular Imaging
Class Date: July 2009 - July 2010

Fellows are responsible for every aspect of Cardiovascular MRI and CT, including communicating with referring physicians, monitoring the study acquisition, post-processing of the data, and interpreting the results. Fellows are required to attend the weekly cardiac cath and vascular surgery conferences as well as a twice-monthly cardiac MRI conference. Fellows are also expected to conduct at least one research project, which should be presented at a national or international society conference and submitted in manuscript form to a peer-reviewed journal.

Dedicated research time will be provided for this purpose. This fellowship is currently open to radiologists only. Candidates will have successfully completed an accredited diagnostic radiology residency, be ABR-certified or eligible and must be able to obtain a license to practice in Illinois.
