Thanks for this atlas is due to Dr Brett Cowan of the Cardiac MRI Research Group in the Department of Medicine at the University of Auckland who suggested this atlas as a project and performed the imaging at Manukau Radiology Institute. Dr Cowan also funded the imaging and some of the preparation of the atlas for publication.

Another major debt of gratitude goes to Andrew Cantell of the Biomedical Imaging Research Unit. Andrew assisted as the systems administrator in the Biomedical Imaging Research Unit at the School of Medicine. The production of this atlas was made significantly easier with his knowledge of computers and the resources, interest and support he gave to this project.
The accuracy of the labelling within the atlas is thanks to Dr Chris Occleshaw from the Department of Radiology at Green Lane Hospital and a member of the Cardiac MRI Research Group who reviewed and (alas) made a number of changes to my initial anatomical labeling.

Warren Hedley of the Department of Engineering Science also made a major contribution by writing all the Java code, particularly the cardiac atlas applet. He also wrote the CIM (Cardiac Image Modellor) software which was used to generate the multislice plan images used for navigating within the atlas.
