Submit a Case

We are looking for CMR cases which are interesting, classical, beautiful or plain clinically useful covering all aspects of CMR.
***2010 UPDATE. We are particularly looking for cases of ischemic heart disease, viability, perfusion, heart failure and electrophysiology; cases where CMR explains abnormalities on other tests (eg the ECG or echo), histological correlations and new techniques/ways of scanning.
Submisson of multi-imaging modality cases are encouraged.

Submitted cases will be peer-reviewed by the web committee before acceptance - so can be listed as a peer reviewed web publication on CVs.

Please do not submit cases already published or under consideration elsewhere.

Cases will be initially posted on the SCMR homepage. Your name and institution will also be posted + links. They will then be available in the cases archive where they will be available for reference.

INFO for AUTHORS--- Please submit your case to cmrcases@yahoo.com with all the relevant attachments, as suggested:
1. Text: word file. Please include a title and list all authors and their Institution, town and country. 
    Sections in the text should include: a) Clinical history, b) CMR findings, c) Conclusion, d) Perspective, e) References
2. Images: JPG files. All images should be anonymous.
3. Movies: .avi or .mov files. All movies should be anonymous. Uncompressed formats preferable (movie will be converted to SWF for posting).
Please adjust contrast so that the movies dont appear too dark.
Standard image/movie orientation are preferred. See standard publishing image orientations for CMR COTW. 
Although there is no min/max number of images/movies for publication, please send an adequate number of them to illustrate the case. 
We are particularly keen to publish the full datasets where appropriate.  Use https://webpax.com, create an account and publish the case and send us the URL in your submission.

INVITED CASES
The Editorial board can sometimes invite submission from expert groups in a specific field of CMR.  

The copyright for the submitted material will remain with the Authors.

PRIZE, BEST CASE-OF-THE-WEEK
There will be an annual prize awarded each year at SCMR for the best published case.  The winner will be announced at the closing plenary session of SCMR and receive free entry to the annual meeting, and a commemorative plaque.  A great international award to list on the resume!
